Ants in lawns

Having ants in and on your lawn is mainly a sign of a healthy lawn.  The problem occurs when they creat mounds and cause uneveness in the lawn.  These ant mounds tend to occur in the summer when we are mowing a lot.  It is best to rake the mounds out when it is dry.  In lawns where this has got very bad levelling may be required using extra top soil and topdressing.

For those who prefer a more robust approach to control “Ant Clear” has had good results for lots of customers and is available on Amazon.  Alternatively use “Nemasys No Ants” for a form of biological control  It is important to follow the instructions of these products carefully.
